- Ex-showroom price. This is the manufacturer's list price of the scooter.
- Central subsidy. ₹0 now for scooters, since PM E-DRIVE ended on 31 July 2026, but ₹12,500 for e-rickshaws till 2028.
- State benefits. Purchase subsidy, road tax exemption and scrapping bonus. This is where the 2026 savings actually live.
- RTO + insurance + delivery. These are the charges that turn the showroom price into the on-road price.

Follow these steps in order and you will not overpay a single rupee:
- Check your state's subsidy first. Delhi buyers win big; Karnataka buyers pay full price. Know what you are entitled to before stepping into a showroom. Check the state pages above.
- Decide your budget as on-road price, not showroom price. A "₹1 lakh" scooter actually costs ₹1.10 lakh+ without exemptions. Use the on-road calculator to fix your real budget.
- Compare running costs. If you ride 800+ km per month, the EV saves ₹1,500-2,500 monthly. At 300 km per month, the savings are small, so be honest about your usage.
- Ask the dealer for a written price break-up. Confirm whether the subsidy is adjusted upfront or comes to your bank account, and check the 30-day claim window.
